Michael H.We had a hiccup in our Bandera plans on the day before our trip. On my way to my brother-in-laws to load up my motorcycle on a trailer for our trip I had a truck and trailer hit my motorcycle. Luckily no one was hurt but my motorcycle was too damaged to make the trip. The group decided to go ahead and make
the trip in our vehicle and make the best of it. We had the best time and really enjoyed our stay at this lovely, kozy house. It was very clean and well supplied with a lot of accessories. The location was awesome and we were able to walk to all the hot spots in town. We really enjoyed our evening at the 11th Street Cowboy Bar on Friday night. The mornings and evenings on the porch watching the numerous deer roam the neighborhood was so relaxing and enjoyable. This is a great place and we plan on staying here when we do get to make it a motorcycle weekend in the future. Thanks for a great stay!

Both beds and pillows were so comfortable, we slept great! Communication was great, check-in was easy, there’s plenty of activity brochures to round off the stay! We loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Easy walk to anywhere in downtown Bandera, with Main Street 2 blocks away. It was quiet and private. Trina was very quick to reply to my questions. We would happily stay again, and recommend highly.

Susan N.Best rental I have ever had! Clean, comfortable beds, AC worked very well in 100* temps. Fun to see the deer roam the property. Easy walk to the local church for Mass and to downtown for meas and shopping. Owner was very responsive to requests. The home is quite spacious and the way the history has been preserved is so very interesting.

It was over 100° every day that we stayed but you wouldn’t have known it. The a/c worked great! The hard work they have done was obvious. We can’t wait to stay again.

Morgan M.House was very clean and organized with everything working as it should. Beds were comfortable and fresh. Easy walking distance to everything on the main street that you might want to go to. Nothing bad about this rental if you want to be in city limits of Bandera. Owners checked on us upon arrival and were just a phone call away if needed. Great rental experience.

The house is very inviting and we always enjoy the deer that seem to show up and visit, as well as just sitting out on the front porch and rocking. It is only a minute or two walk to Main Street. Sally S.One of the best VRBO properties we have visited. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Trina communicated with us before, during and after our stay. We so enjoyed all the deer that roamed the area. Mother Nature sent a blast of arctic air, but we still managed to enjoy a glass of wine on the lovely porch. We will be back!

The only sounds we heard from inside was the rain falling on the roof from the incredible thunderstorm that rumbled through during the night. It only added to the ambiance of this special place.

We liked the historic pictures and memorabilia placed all over the main house. It was awesome to read up on local history. The owners are amazing and though we did not get to meet in person, we consider them top notch. We will hopefully meet next trip down there.

Mike and Kara B.Cute and clean with everything you need. Easy to find, nice location, and great hosts. Plenty of room for four of us. It was nice to have the washer and dryer. My only complaint was something out of the hosts control; the music from the nearby bar. I'd read on previous reviews that it ended by 10 PM, which would have been fine. But the night before I had to be up very early for a race, the music played until after 1 am. I don't know if this was a one-off or if this is the norm, but know this if you need to sleep on a Friday or Saturday night. Other than this one thing--great place.

David S.This is the place to stay in Bandera if you want to be close to the action, yet still have the comfort of an entire 2 bedroom house with all the conveniences. We were originally planning to stay for 2 nights but decided quickly to extend our stay several more nights based on this property. The deer were hanging out in the yard and we sat out on the front porch in the rocking chairs enjoying Bandera. When we were ready for a few drinks and dancing it was about a 2 minute walk to 11th Street Cowboy Bar, Arkeys Silver Dollar and some really good food at OST. In closing - We will be back!!

Michelle S.We escaped to Bandera for the weekend with family and the property was not only charming but clean, spacious, and decorated to fit the period of the home. The Flying L Resort was overbooked and lucky for us....because we got to enjoy this hidden treasure instead. We enjoyed several local attractions (Flying L water park, NEW Bandera Natural History Museum, antique stores, local eats) as well as live music at night. The owner went out of her way to make us feel welcome and even took time out of her busy schedules to show us the unique qualities of the home and must-see places in town (thanks Trina!). Very family friendly and I would HIGHLY recommend staying here. We will definitely return soon for round two. Our extended family joined us & rented the attached apartment...perfect space for everyone. Again, this was a 5-star stay with a historic charm-twist. We loved it!!

We were able to get out and shop or visit the local attractions and then go 'home' to rest for a while before heading out again. The house was charming and inviting and the location was the best. The porch was a favorite hangout at the end of the day. Easily one of our best road trips ever. And we will be back!

Almost every evening we would walk to listen to music and enjoy the people. Everyone is very friendly. The owners do everything possible to make your stay enjoyable. It was very clean, the historical photos were interesting, we had everything we needed, and for 90% of the time it was very quiet. We did get some noise (live music) from a nearby bar one night, but they stopped at 10pm. Getting into the house at check-in was straightforward and easy. I would definitely stay again!

Donna R.San Diego, CA, USAI went to a high school reunion in Bandera. One of our classmates has the good fortune to live in there. I am so happy that I found Trina and Timothy's house on 10th Street. I loved the house, and only wish I had more time to enjoy sitting on the porch just rocking and enjoying the sweet sounds of country in Texas. The house is a perfect location to walk to everything and enjoy every minute of the Bandera hospitality, and of course, the hospitality of two great hosts. Thank you for all you do to make this a lovely home away from home.

Emma D.TexasThis cottage is the perfect location for a weekend in the area. It is clean, comfortable and close to everything. We enjoyed that we could walk to the shops or river from here. We also have a young daughter who loved that she saw deer in the yard. Besides its great location, the cottage has a ton of historic detail and the owners have a history of the cottage in the town and pictures showing it in the town over time. It was fun to see how the town and cottage changed over the years.
The property also has a great front porch to relax on and a washer/dryer on premise which is a big plus with kiddos :)
We have family in the area and are so pleased to have found this place to stay when we come to town.
The owners are very accommodating and helpful with information about the area and make staying here easy.

It is quiet and the beds are SO comfortable, as are the bed linens. Within walking distance of downtown Bandera. We loved the suits of armor in the yard across the street! This is a charming house and the owner is very easy to deal with!

Nanette S.HoustonYou can walk everywhere in town from this property. The deer come out every night. The property has a wonderful covered front porch with padded chairs. We were 2 couples and enjoyed sitting on the porch in the morning and evening. Interesting historical pictures, books and collected items on the property from their renovation. Our queen beds were extremely comfortable. We were happy to find queen beds because lots of properties have single beds or bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom. There are ceiling fans and central A/C and lots of room. Fully equipped with all supplies you might need. It is a historical property so don't expect "modern chic". Washer and dryer on back porch is a nice addition. The town is in a pretty area with deer and fireflies at night. It's sad that they are experiencing a drought right now because the rivers are dried up. We had a nice picnic down by the Medina river which is right in town and has lots of shade, ducks and picnic tables. We also drove around the countryside and through the Hill Country State Natural Park. Several quirky bars in town like the 11th Street Cowboy Bar. We went on Monday night and enjoyed guitar music/songs right at our table by Howard Hobson (and friend) - and he even brought Sloppy Joes! The owner of this property was very nice and gave us lots of information about the area. The only negatives I can think of is that we didn't find any great food and the property across the street decorates a huge yard with old metal suits of armor and other ugly stuff. The property, ower, and location itself gets a 10 from us, however!
